This oil painter lives and works in the Sacramento River Delta area of California. Here New England native Randall Sexton has thrived after finishing art studies at the University of Connecticut-Storrs.
In his words, “Painting is an adventure. Each work is a simple sentence in an ongoing story that will take a lifetime to unfold.” Spoken like a true traveler! To me he takes the art of the brilliantly prismatic California light to a new level!
You can find his paintings at these public venues: The John Pence Gallery, San Francisco, CA; Nancy Dodds Gallery, Carmel, CA; The Debra Huse Gallery, Balboa Island, CA; The Mike Carroll Gallery, Lanai City, HI; The Telluride Gallery of Fine Art, Telluride, CO; Knowlton Gallery, Lodi, CA. His studio is in downtown Crockett, CA. Besides maritime, a major interest of Sexton’s is rural industrial funk–as he terms it.
