What a great resource to Pacific boat artists!

Port Townsend School of Maritime Art

On May 15, the Port Townsend School of Maritime Art moves to our new office at the Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water Street, Port Townsend.

This is a perfect fit for us, right on the water at Point Hudson, with classroom space upstairs, a boat shop next door, and the Chandlery and Cafe in the same building.

The Northwest Maritime Center is also home to the Wooden Boat Foundation, host of the annual Wooden Boat Festival here at Point Hudson.

We are also a few steps to Puget Sound Express passenger ferries that depart Point Hudson to the San Juan Islands, Protection Island’s bird sanctuary, and within a year, to Seattle.

 We love our neighbors: a rigging shop, sail loft, canvas maker, several colorful boatbuilders and boatyard, our local foundry’s showroom, a wood kayak company, Port offices, US Customs and three unique restaurants.  And of course, the always busy Point…
